Privacy Policy
Effective: October 21, 2026 · Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains how information is handled when you browse this website, submit a project enquiry, contact us directly, or commission educational content development.
1. Scope and responsibility
Morsden Academy provides educational content development, including course materials, study resources, presentations, assessments, and workplace training content. This policy covers information handled for those activities and the website experience, including enquiries submitted through the project form. A project-specific confidentiality or data-processing agreement may provide additional safeguards, and applicable legal requirements continue to apply.
The website is hosted on Shopify. Hosting, email, payment, or other service providers may have their own responsibilities and privacy notices for information they process. This policy does not claim that all processing is controlled by the custom page code.
2. The project enquiry form
The project enquiry form collects your name, email address, phone number, selected service, project description, and privacy acknowledgment. Required fields are checked before submission. When you send the form, the information is transmitted through Shopify’s contact form service for handling and notification to Morsden Academy. A confirmation appears after Shopify accepts the submission successfully.
We use these details to review the request, understand the proposed learning material, and contact you about an appropriate scope or next step. You can also contact the business using the email address displayed beside the form. Avoid including passwords, payment card details, student records, confidential source files, or sensitive personal information in an initial project description.
3. Information you provide directly
If you send an email, call, or otherwise contact us, we may receive your name, business contact details, organization, the subject of the proposed work, relevant correspondence, and materials you choose to share. If a project proceeds, we may also receive billing details, project approvals, feedback, source content, and delivery instructions needed to perform the agreed work.
Provide information relevant to your enquiry. Where possible, use fictional, anonymized, or redacted examples instead of identifiable learner or employee information. If you share information about someone else, you must have an appropriate basis to do so.
4. Technical website information
When a page or image is requested, Shopify and other infrastructure used to deliver the site may process technical information such as an IP address, browser and device characteristics, request time, requested address, and security or error information. These processes can occur even if you do not complete a form. The custom sections do not themselves add advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or a mailing-list subscription.
The surrounding Shopify theme, merchant settings, or installed applications can introduce additional processing. The Cookie Policy explains this distinction and the controls that may be available on the live storefront.
5. Why information is used
Enquiry information is used to understand and respond to requests, define a project scope, prepare an estimate, develop and review materials, deliver agreed files, manage invoices, resolve complaints, and maintain necessary business records. Technical information may be used by hosting providers to deliver pages, process form submissions, detect abuse, investigate faults, and maintain platform security.
Where a law requires a particular legal basis, processing will rely on the basis relevant to the activity, such as taking requested steps toward a contract, performing a contract, meeting a legal obligation, or an appropriate legitimate interest. Consent is obtained where required.
6. Sharing and service providers
Information may be made available to providers needed for website hosting, contact form processing, business email, file delivery, payment administration, or professional business support, to the extent relevant to the service they provide. Shopify processes website form submissions as the platform provider. Access should be limited to what is reasonably necessary. We do not sell project enquiry information or use the enquiry form to build advertising audiences.
Information may also be disclosed where legally required, to respond to valid legal process, protect lawful rights, investigate suspected misuse, or carry out a business transaction subject to suitable safeguards. We do not promise that a particular provider or jurisdiction will be used before a project arrangement has been confirmed.
7. Project materials and AI-assisted work
Source materials are used for the agreed educational content task and related review. AI-assisted services may involve drafting, restructuring, or adapting content, followed by human editing and review against the agreed source material. Before confidential source material or personal information is put into an external AI service, the proposed use and any necessary permission or safeguards must be agreed.
Do not send student records, health information, authentication credentials, or other sensitive material merely because a service mentions AI. If a project requires personal learner information, the handling arrangements must be assessed separately before that information is shared.
8. Retention and deletion
Enquiries and related correspondence may be held in business email and relevant service-provider systems. Information received through a form, direct contact, or an accepted project is retained according to its purpose, the project relationship, any agreed confidentiality arrangements, and applicable accounting, tax, or legal obligations. We do not state a single fixed retention period for every category because these requirements differ.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, it should be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of appropriately. Deletion may be subject to backup cycles, a legal hold, recordkeeping duties, or the need to establish or defend legal claims.
9. Security and your choices
Reasonable administrative and technical measures should be used in light of the information and the way it is handled. No website, email system, or storage service can be guaranteed completely secure. Ordinary email may not be appropriate for especially sensitive files. Contact us first if your project requires a particular secure transfer method or restricted-access environment.
You may choose not to supply optional information. You may also close the brief form without completing it. Some information may nevertheless be necessary to answer a request, enter a contract, issue an invoice, or perform a commissioned service.
10. Requests and applicable rights
Depending on your location, the law that applies, and whether its conditions are met, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or limits on certain uses of personal information. You may contact us to ask which information we hold about you and how it is used. We will consider requests under the requirements that actually apply.
Reasonable identity verification may be required before disclosure or deletion. We will not demand unnecessary identification. If a request cannot be fulfilled in whole or in part, we will explain the relevant reason where required and identify an applicable review or complaint route.
11. Children, international access, and changes
This website presents business services and is not designed to collect information directly from children. Educational materials may be intended for different learner groups, but a development project does not require children to submit their details through this site. If you believe inappropriate information about a child has been provided, contact us so the circumstances can be reviewed.
Service providers may process information in places other than your location; any required safeguards depend on the arrangement and applicable law. This policy may be updated when practices or requirements change. The date above identifies the current version; a change does not remove existing statutory rights.
